B. Sc. Student
Jayesh Patel is a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering with Nano-science concentration. He was born and raised in India and moved to the United States in 2014. He was initially interested in biology, but after taking high school chemistry and mathematics courses, he found his true passion. This guided him to the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Program at NC State University. Jay is also a Chemistry and Mathematics Tutor for the University Tutorial Center (UTC) and Academic Support Program for Student Athletes (ASPSA). He is also leading the American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE) as a Chemical Engineering Car Chair. In his free time, Jay likes to play sport and do outdoor adventures.
In the Abolhasani Group, Jay is working to improve the microfluidic separation of switchable solvents.
