Steven Crouse is a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Mathematics at NC State. He grew up in Rockingham County, North Carolina where he found his broad interest in science and problem-solving. Pursuing these passions, he moved to Durham for his junior and senior year of high school at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics where he graduated in 2017. At NC State, Steven chose Chemical Engineering because it was a blend of his favorite subjects. He is currently an Organic Chemistry Tutor for the University Tutorial Center and a member of NC State’s Diversity Activity Board. Steven’s hobbies include running and playing guitar. A member of Abolhasani Labs since Fall 2018, he now works as a research assistant in the development of an automated microfluidic platform for large-scale manufacturing of colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals.
