Nicholas Junkin a junior pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with a concentration in Sustainable Engineering, Energy and Environment. He from Fuquay-Varina NC where he developed an interest in sustainability and renewable energy, leading him to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering. Currently, he is a member of Engineers Without Borders and the Scholars Program. In the future, he plans on working to develop and improve renewable energy sources to minimize environmental impact. Outside of school, he also enjoys playing soccer whenever he gets the chance.

In the Abolhasani lab, he is working on the synthesis and characterization of quantum dots using microfluidic reactors.
