I was born and raised in Iran where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Tehran. I then decided to pursue my graduate studies and joined Texas Tech where I worked on “Ab Initio Study of Interactions at MOF/Polymer Interfaces”. During my master’s degree, I realized that I am very passionate about the linkage between “Artificial Intelligence” and “Multidisciplinary Engineering”, and that there is a great potential for conducting research in this area. Therefore, I decided to apply and pursue my research interests at NC State where I expect to learn, specialize, and research at the intersection of Chemical Engineering and Machine Learning.

In the Abolhasani Lab, I will be working on the smart manufacturing of advanced functional materials using autonomous fluidic micro-processors.
